Landport Energy Supplies Block-S Battery Storage (120kwh) to Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek

At the Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek location in Amersfoort, a Block-S energy storage system has recently been installed. With this battery storage, Voskamp is assured of a reliable power supply, allowing both security systems and business processes to run 24/7.

The installation was carried out by Installatiebureau Pals, in close collaboration with Landport Energy. Jack Pals of Installatiebureau Pals says, “The request from Mark Tijs of Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek was clear: a reliable power supply, day and night, with the possibility for peak shaving. Together with Tony Vreman and Niki Loffelt of Landport Energy, we chose a configuration that fits Voskamp’s needs and also allows for future expansion, such as charging stations.”

The Block-S configuration, as installed in Amersfoort, consists of a Deye 50kW high-voltage hybrid inverter and two cabinets with a total of 120kWh battery storage. With 170 solar panels on the roof of Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek, there is sufficient capacity on sunny days to charge the batteries. On days with little sunlight, the battery is filled from the grid, with electricity being purchased when rates are favourable.

“With this installation, Landport Energy is taking a new step in the roll-out of the Block-S series,” says account manager Niki Loffelt. “For the small business user, the Block-S, starting at 60kWh, is an interesting ESS solution with impressive ROI potential. Especially now that more and more companies are facing grid congestion, the demand for independent energy storage is increasing rapidly. With systems like our Block-S, Landport Energy can meet this growing need.”

Mark Tijs of Voskamp Beveiligingstechniek: “We chose to place the system on our outdoor site. Due to the weight and desired mounting, the cabinets are placed on Stelcon plates. For safety, we have installed fencing to enclose the units. And for added security, there is camera surveillance – security is, after all, our core business.”
